Thalerhof Memorial and Kermesh Saturday, August 1st, 2015

The Lemko Association once again invites all members and friends to a day of remembrance and fellowship on Saturday, August 1st (rain date Saturday, August 8th), at our headquarters, 184 Old County Road, Higganum, Connecticut.

At 11:00 am there will be a moleben (prayer service) and panakhida (service for the deceased) for those who lost their lives in the Thalerhof concentration camp tragedy of 1914-1917 and for all those who died in and around the Carpathians in the 1912-1951 time period.

At noon, following the services, there will be a kermesh (picnic) with music and food lasting until 6:00pm. We are especially glad that Lemko DJ Stefan Dutkanicz, “DJ Bortne”, will be on hand playing music. Those attending are asked to make a $10 contribution towards the food (hot dogs, hamburgers, kolbasy, rolls, salad and soft drinks).

All are welcome! RSVPs are greatly appreciated so that we can have enough food on hand and notify you if the event must be postponed to the rain date. Please contact us to RSVP or email merida@snet.net.

Please be aware that many GPS units are inaccurate when navigating to 184 Old County Road. Please look for our signs or use online maps.
